Kusakizome is a traditional Japanese dye technique using materials from
nature. We use everything from flowers and trees to tea leaves. The
process is all-natural, and the results are unique earthy colors that
celebrate life and the seasons - way more interesting than the usual
pastel pinks, blues and yellows that dominate mass-produced baby
clothes.
Madder root has been used all over the world for centuries to achieve
deep reds and oranges. The rich madder colors symbolize the rising sun
and new beginnings. It's significance is "good fortune".
Certified 100% organic unbleached cotton. Machine wash and dry. Color
and designs vary. Unevenness of color and fading over time is a
characteristic of naturally dyed fabric. It adds the beauty and texture
of the kimono. Our kimonos are for babies 0-6 months. |
